Musculoskeletal Treatment
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physical therapy focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues. Highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapists employ a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to address issues such as pain, stiffness, weakness, and impaired mobility. Through a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education, these professionals aim to optimize musculoskeletal function, promote healing, and enhance overall physical well-being. Whether the goal is recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or preventing future problems, musculoskeletal physiotherapy plays a crucial role in restoring and maintaining the body's musculoskeletal health, empowering individuals to regain strength, flexibility, and functionality. |
Vertigo Treatment
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common vestibular disorder characterized by brief episodes of dizziness or spinning sensations triggered by specific head movements. Specially trained physiotherapists, like those at Fix Physiotherapy can treat BPPV quickly and efficiently. Within the inner ear, tiny calcium crystals called otoliths can become dislodged and migrate into the semicircular canals, disrupting normal fluid movement and sending confusing signals to the brain about head position. This results in sudden, intense bouts of vertigo, typically lasting for a short duration. Although BPPV is not life-threatening, its symptoms can significantly impact daily activities. Fortunately, BPPV is often successfully treated through specific repositioning maneuvers performed by trained physiotherapists, aiming to guide the displaced crystals back to their proper location and alleviate the associated vertigo. |
Physiotherapy Acupuncture
Physiotherapy acupuncture integrates principles of modern anatomy, neurophysiology, and evidence-based medicine. In this approach, fine needles are strategically inserted into specific points on the body, often near nerve endings and connective tissues, to stimulate various physiological responses. Physiotherapy acupuncture is aligned with scientific understanding, emphasizing the release of neurotransmitters, modulation of pain signals, and promotion of tissue healing. |
